Stevensville

Located near the shore of Lake Michigan, Stevensville has suburban options with a rural feel. The area is dotted with beautiful parks for fun and relaxation. With art galleries, antique shops and well-known charming restaurants, Stevensville offers a variety of activities.

The beautiful Lake Michigan shore is just a short distance away. The Grand Mere State Park, North Lake Park, and Warren Dunes, each offer pristine sandy beaches to take a stroll or bask in the gorgeous Lake Michigan sunsets.

The village was established by Thomas Stevens, originally from Tyngsboro, Massachusetts, and was incorporated in 1893. Mr. Stevens was a landowner who sold a large portion of his acreage to the Chicago and West Michigan Lake Shore Railroad Company for the sum of $1.00.

The Lakeshore Public School district, located along Lake Michigan in southwestern Michigan, includes the communities of Stevensville and Baroda. The school system is comprised of three K-5 elementary buildings, one 6-8 middle school and one high school. Lakeshore believes in utilizing an ongoing assessment program that continually monitors the progress of their students in an effort to align curriculum, success and the Lakeshore Tradition in Excellence.
