  1. When is it a good time to enter the Real Estate profession?
    Real Estate markets fluctuate while highly skilled professionals who are dedicated to the business will thrive in any market. When times are tough, consumers always seek true professionals who are affiliated with the most trusted firms for their advice.
  2. What are the requirements to becoming a licensed REALTOR?
    Entry into the real estate profession takes preparation. As with other professions, licensing is required. The State of Michigan requires the completion of a 40 hour Real Estate class, passing a State exam, and finding a sponsoring Broker to become fully licensed. Two entities that provide the State mandated class are:
    Greater Kalamazoo Association of Realtors – GKAR.com
    Holloway’s Institute – Hollowaysinstitute.com
  3. What kind of training program do you offer to new agents?
    Our “System of Success” is educationally based. Jaqua Realtors invests in executive level training for each individual tailored to their talents and strengths. This extensive training is offered by our broker, Dan Jaqua who is a nationally known speaker and our well recognized Sales Manager, John Buttery. Topics of discussion include:
    Prospecting, Networking, Social Networking, Branding, Marketing, Self-promotion, Legal documents/contracts, Negotiations, Strategizing, etc.
  4. What kind of support is offered to new agents?
    Along with the extensive training program, Jaqua offers assigned advisors, executive coaching, as well as many opportunities to work with our colleagues/mentors within the Brokerage.
  5. At what point can I start earning money?
    Immediately you can start earning money…Our “System of Success” Jaqua has developed, encourages you to build your business from the start.
  6. How am I compensated?
    Within the Real Estate arena agents are compensated through a tiered system called a “commission split”.
